Paxos: Beach tips

Vrika, Antipaxos

Access by sea taxi, they start departing from Gaios central square harbour at around 10 a.m.

It is considered one of the best beaches on the island.

Crystal clear waters, sand.

Sunbeds and 2 local restaurants for lunch.

It has the easiest access; ideal for all ages.

Voutoumi, Antipaxos

Access by sea taxi, they start departing from Gaios central square harbour at about 10 a.m.

Large pebbles outside, sand inside, crystal clear waters.

Sunbeds and 2 restaurants.

It is worth visiting the restaurant up on the hill (Bella Vista), with its wonderful view.

Mongonisi

Access by car

Small, sandy beach, in a quiet harbour, ideal for SUP.

It has a beach bar and restaurant, umbrellas and sunbeds for rent.

Manadendri

Access by car.

Pebble beach, somewhat rough, popular.

It has two beach bars/restaurants, umbrellas and sunbeds for rent.

Kipiadi

Access by car & walking on a slightly difficult path (10′).

Crystal clear waters, rocky coastline, suitable for snorkeling.

Ideal when it’s windy because it’s protected.

It is preferred by sailboats and small boats.

Kaki Langada beach

Very close to Gaios, access by car (or on foot ~3km).

Pebbles, clear, crystal waters.

A little shade, relatively easy access to the sea, suitable for all ages.

It has a beach bar.

Levrecchio beach

Near the village of Loggos.

Pebble and turquoise waters.

Restaurants nearby, as well as a small parking lot.

Giannas Beach

The closest beach to Gaios.

Access on foot.

Pebbly, easy access, popular with locals too.

Very close to all the bars and restaurants.

Harami

Avoid swimming at Harami beach in Lakka. It is very beautiful but the waters are not always clean in the summer, due to the plethora of boats mooring in Lakka bay.
